March General Meeting

Due to weather and snow removal issues, the March General Meeting will be held Tuesday March 19. Kadingers will be sponsoring the evening and it will be held at The Shack in Superior, Wisconsin at 5:30, dinner at 6

Judell with AASP will be attending the March 5th meeting. She will go over any pertinent legislation currently being considered.

General Meeting March 5

The March meeting will be held at The Shack in Superior Wi. We'll meet at the usual time 5:30 with dinner at 6. Kadingers will be our dinner sponser for the evening.
Todd Paulson will go over the details for the upcoming estimate training on March 28. As it stands now, the class will be held at Lake Superior College from 12:30 - 4:30. It is open for anyone that wants a refresher, or any new estimators in the area for $25.00 a person which includes the printed materials. Any current NCBA member shops can send people free of charge. The speaker\instructor will be Bob Anderson, teaching "best estimating practices",  refreshments will be provided by Acar rental company.

Holiday Party for 2012 PAID members

Just a reminder that the upcoming Holiday party is for all 2012 paid members. The tradition of having it in January for the previous year, started many years ago. Everyone is just too busy during the traditional holiday time so the NCBA moved their party to the 3rd Friday in January.
If anyone has an opportunity to pick up some donations for door prises that would be greatly appreciated.
There will not be a General Meeting in January, it will wait until the March meeting instead of trying to have 2 gatherings in 1 month. March meeting will be the 1st Tuesday in March, location will be posted at a later date on this site.
DUES are due!!! They're still $200.00 Ive recieved from a few shops already, and would like to say welcome to Johnnys Auto Body in Superior, a new 1st year member.

November 2012 General Meeting

  Good turnout at Blackwoods for the meeting on November 13. Bob Schmidt from Invergrove Parts Sales sponsored the evening, and it was 2 for one on pasta so one lucky guy went home with lunch for the next day ( Hi Mike). For those of you that missed the meeting, Bob assured us that he will continue to go above and beyond to get you the parts you need when you need them. You might get your Honda ,Toyota or Scion parts from another resource, but they'll never beat Bobs customer service.

  There was a vote to reduce the number of General Meetings to 3 a year, thinking that may help increase attendance. After discussion there was a vote, and the 15 members in attendance decided to keep the meeting schedule as it has been with no changes.

  Dues should  be to Jody @ Uncle Dunbars, 210 E 1St Street 55802 by January 31. They will be the same as last year $200.

  This years Holiday Party will be Friday January 18th at Greysolon Plaza for all 2012 paid members. Watch this space for more details. Any thoughts or suggestions can be addressed with Rick Dunbar or Jody Nelson,  Jax Eisenmann will help coordinate the affair.

   Justin Prendergast, instructor of the auto body program at LSC, has joined us for some of our meetings. He would like to propose an apprentice program for any shops that would like to participate. He would like to start this year during their Christmas break December 21 -January 14. There would be no long term commitment unless thats something that would be mutually beneficial at the end of their training. Contact Justin for more information.


  Last but not least, there was a vote that evening for 1 open board member position, Secretary and Treasurer. George Eisenmann was at the end of his 1st term on the board and had such a good time serving he agreed to do it again. No one was willing to take over secretary/ treasurer, so Jody gets it again by default.

Changes to by laws

This letter is to inform you of the purposed changes to the Northern Collision Business Association by laws. The 2012 board members would like to reduce the number of general meetings to 3 considering everyones busy schedules. One in November that would include voting for board members, the Holiday Party in January and one in March. Current and future board members would agree to meet according to this schedule, to plan events and activities.

Any objection to this schedule should be addressed with any of the current board members.

The next General meeting which will include voting for open positions, will be held November 13th due to the presidential elections on the 6th. The meeting will be held at Blackwoods in Proctor @5:30. Bob Schmidt with Invergrove Parts will be the dinner sponsor.
